How BizX is Helping Local Businesses Compete this Black Friday

We’re just a couple of days away from one of the biggest shopping days of the year and hopefully for us, our biggest Black Friday sale yet!

For our third annual event, we’re expecting record participation, with over 50 confirmed businesses, offering deals on toys, apparel, gift cards, massages, car details and more. Our goal is to double our participation from last year to give our BizX businesses a head start on meeting their year end goals, while doing a little holiday shopping for themselves as well!

Nationally, in 2013, more than 248 million shoppers visited stores and shopped online over Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, according to industry research. But the owners of many small businesses simply do not have the resources to open on Thanksgiving evening or to promote an online sale to its customers.

In fact, the National Retail Federation reports that more than 95 percent of retailers are small businesses operating a single location, meaning these businesses can’t possibly compete on the scale of big box retailers and ecommerce giants.

BizX is changing that by encouraging our members to participate in Thanksgiving holiday sales on the BizX marketplace. Our members can offload excess inventory to gain BizX dollars, while finding great deals to purchase gifts for their family and friends – all requiring no cash. The Black Friday sale is another example of how BizX encourages its users to come together in its community to share with and help other businesses.

More details on the sale and how to set up a BizX account on the BizX marketplace is available here.

Our Black Friday sale begins at 9:00 p.m. PST on Thanksgiving Day. Joining is free and more details are at our Black Friday website.

Avoid the chaos of the storefront and hassle of cash and stop by the BizX marketplace this Black Friday!
