Restaurant Owner Uses Barter to Grow His Business
In the following videos John Schmidt, owner/operator of Neighborhood Grills, discusses his six year relationship with BizXchange. Although his original motivator for joining was to advertise on bus boards, he has found many additional resources for maintenance and expansion of his restaurant group. When Schmidt joined BizX, Greenlake Bar & Grill was his only restaurant. He has built that one restaurant into a well-known Seattle brand and expanded to a total of five properties, including the one that is currently being built. He said BizXchange has been very helpful in the growth of his company.
The obvious place BizX has helped Neighborhood Grills expand is in their three recent build-outs. He said he spent about $100,000 BizX dollars in building the Southlake Grill restaurant including the railings, plumbing and marketing materials after the opening. And he is currently using BizX to build-out his first Eastside location, Crossroads Bar & Grill. He has also used BizX for physical improvements to his restaurants, continued maintenance and ongoing marketing. He has purchased graphic design, direct mailings, radio and print advertising.
